The second screen we would see 20 times more surface we see in a conventional SmartWatch screen. If you thought you had seen everything in the world of Smartwatch wait to see what the Lenovo are preparing. A week ago, Lenovo Tech World an event in which the Chinese company presents the latest to come but also those concepts and prototypes of possible future products we could see in a few years.

Thus, it introduced a new ThinkPad, a competitor of Chromecast, or such interesting concepts like Lenovo Smart Cast. However, if there is a prototype that has left us amazed is undoubtedly the Lenovo Magic View, a smartwatch that implements two screens to allow consume content like never before had done. How is it possible to incorporate two displays on a device like a watch? Now you’ll see.

The SmartWatch has a main circulating screen, very similar to other models like the Moto 360 or Huawei Watch. However, in the bottom of the field, curving to occupy a portion of the inside of your wrist, there is a small panel which will see an area 20 times greater than we might see in a conventional screen SmartWatch.

How is this possible? Actually it is not a proper screen, but a kind of viewfinder that they have described as “optical reflection” that allows to look through it to show a large area of content. We could say that this is a much more private viewing of our content, as only we can see if we bring our eyes to the small screen.

The second screen will offer a private viewing of our content

In addition, both displays are in the continuous interaction so that we can send at any time the content that is being displayed on the main screen to high school. This is especially interesting when it comes to content that require a large surface area for better seen as a picture or a map. In the video that we leave here you can appreciate a clearer picture of what is so.

Of course, as shown at the fair no longer a mere concept and still do not know whether it will eventually reach the market. From what little I’ve seen it appears that Lenovo Magic View work with Android Wear, but with a slightly modified layer to adapt to this strange duality of screens that provides the SmartWatch. What do you think of this concept of Lenovo? Do you think that would have a real utility?
