Compare Gear Live, G Watch and Moto 360

It is true that there is currently no benefits and much less special software for this series of devices that is still emerging. But we can compare in terms of design and in some internal components: processor, RAM, screen.

Design

In my opinion, and I share with many of you, the most elegant and beautiful smartwatch is the Moto 360. Loses the “essence” of the round dial watch with a button on its side. In addition, with dial designs offered for display on the screen, the clock is good on the wrist. Note that the G Watch and Gear Live devices are not ugly, but it is too far from the “essence” clock which should boast. At the end of the day, it’s a smart watch, not a wrist computer.

Screen

An important detail when you buy this series of devices is the screen. With optimum resolution, good screen technology and tough as far as possible to everyday bumps is more than enough. Moreover, at least in my opinion, not a very large screen is required since the end of the day, will take on the wrist.

Moto 360 screen is round 46mm in diameter, with a resolution of 320 × 320 and OLED technology. We will also have the protection of sapphire crystal to cover the screen of the device. In the case of Samsung Gear Live, will have a 1.63 inch screen, resolution 320 × 320 and as we used in Samsung, Super AMOLED screen. Finally, the LG G Watch features a 1.65-inch screen, lower resolution (280 × 280) LCD technology.

Battery

We arrived at one of the highlights and can make the difference between the three devices, battery and autonomy. Of course, this series of devices have to have more than enough power to reach the end of the day and not breaking a sweat at night. At the end of the day, it is a watch and wants to use it all day.

We have no 2000-3000 mAh batteries because practically, a device so small, basic components and small screens do not require much battery capacity. Furthermore, it would be a real headache battery meter so in so little space.

We will have a 300mAh battery on the Samsung Gear Live, with a 300 mAh also in the LG G Watch (optimized to last up to 36 hours) and the Moto 360 yet nothing is known, although the figures will be about their competitors. One thing that surprised me the Moto 360 is their way of loading, as it is wireless, we will not have ports to connect to the stream, just leave it on a shelf and upload.

On paper this sounds great, but to be seen as surrender after the day of the most demanding users and whether they meet your expectations. We hope to have as soon as possible some of this device for review.

Processor and RAM

As we stated before, in a device of this kind not amazing components as if we might have a top-end smartphone is needed. Need fair and necessary specifications for the device to go fluid, is capable of running Android Wear properly and correctly optimize battery consumption.

That is why we have a 1.2 GHz processor in the Samsung Gear Live, a Qualcomm quad-core processor running at 876MHz on the LG G Watch. In addition, even Motorola has not acted beyond its website, is still not known about the processor that will come equipped on the Moto 360.

You see as benefits are not impressive but for a smart watch think, they might work well. I hope that once reaching the public so.
