As an operating system, Android Wear is still not as intuitive as one would wish when faced with a completely new OS. The small size of the screen and card-based interface still has many areas for improvement, especially when we want to access something more specific functions. Who has not wondered how to get your music from your phone to smartwatch to hear it anywhere?
In fact, until recently, this option was not allowed, so it was necessary to have our smartphone Android with us to play songs in the smartwatch via Bluetooth. However, in the latest update of Android Wear already includes the ability to download songs directly into memory clock to listen offline without having the phone with us.
1. Android Wear Upgrade to the latest version
As mentioned, the ability to play offline music from our Android Wear is an option that has been included with the latest operating system. For this reason, you should make sure you have the latest version installed on your system smartwatch and your Android smartphone. To check, you can go to Settings – About and check what version you have installed.
2. Activate the option of listening offline
The next step is to select the option that lets you listen to music in our offline Android Wear, which means that the songs you want are discharged directly into the device memory. To activate it, we must go to the Google Play Music app on your smartphone or Android tablet, tap Settings and leave checked the “Download to Android Wear”.
3. Select the songs
Then we must go to our music library and select the songs that we have in our smartwatch. Unfortunately, it is not possible to download songs just for smartphone or just for smartwatch, so any song selections will be on both devices. By clicking on the orange button that appears next to each song or album will start downloading.
4. Sync your music
The synchronization should start automatically once you have selected the “Download to Android Wear” and we selected those songs we want to transfer. If not, make sure your clock is correctly synchronized with the phone. A notification in the smartwatch will inform us that synchronization has begun. And that would be all the steps needed to take our music downloaded on Android Wear.
5. Find the Bluetooth headset to go with you
The vast majority of Bluetooth headsets on the market are perfectly compatible with Android Wear, so your only concern should be to find headphones that you like and you secure you obviously that feature Bluetooth technology.
