You already know that you can set your own pin, pattern or just simply slide the screen to unlock your phone. Now, you can make your phone in the ready to use condition when you are walking or just simply holding your phone. Your phone will remain unlocked even when you aren’t touching your phone and not setting the time for the phone to automatically lock your phone.

This is the newest feature from the lollipop. This feature is called by smart lock. Smart lock works wonderful, using the phone’s accelerometer to detect the situation. So, when you are walking around somewhere, the accelerometer will detect your phone movement because basically when you are walking, you create a movement so that your phone maybe is shaking around your pocket. Smart lock uses that system, so your phone will remain unlocked even when you are going to some place. The key of this feature is the movement of the phone. If you want to lock your phone, just simply place it in the table or in the place or things that will not move at all. Your phone will be locked again after you do that.

This feature still has some cons I personally think. You know that with a turned-on phone, your battery will not last longer. Also when you are walking outside, pickpocket will easily use and sell your phone when they are getting your phone because your phone now doesn’t have any securities.

We should use this feature wisely, although some applications need your phone to be turned on in order to make it run, you should also think about it cons. Your accelerometer sensor also determines whether your phone is in the smart lock condition or not because you will not know the condition of your phone when it is placed in your pocket. So think and use it wisely !
