Losing Samsung’s business, Qualcomm in Confused
Smartphone enthusiast certainly no stranger to the Snapdragon. Yes, the Qualcomm’s processor almost can be found in most Android phones. However, since Samsung decided to use Exynos processor, Snapdragon popularity is mentioned would be threatened.
So far, most Snapdragon processor users sourced from Samsung. Practically, in addition to profit from the use Snapdragon processor in the Samsung smartphones Qualcomm also gain substantial revenue from the license.
Qualcomm only gained about 2% to 2.5% of the sales value of each mobile phone belongs to Samsung’s Galaxy S series.

The goal of course in order to keep the mobile phone vendors interested using their chips, including Samsung. Furthermore, other rumors circulated Qualcomm plans to separate the division licenses and chips.
Qualcomm feels their chips began to lose popularity. The fact, Qualcomm is now followed closely by two powerful mobile chip giant, Samsung and MediaTek.
When this is done, the main Qualcomm business will no longer focus on the manufacture of chips, but the license division which became the largest revenue source.
As information, Qualcomm is a great company with the world’s largest licensing revenue. The company has gained almost USD 30 billion from selling licenses.
