Apple Watch Scarcity is Due to Problems with Taptic Engine

The WSJ reveals that a large number of engines Taptic Engine failed just before mass production. It seems that slowly begin to know why the disastrous initial availability of Apple Watch, is that from the beginning everything seemed to indicate that it was no production problems and a failure forecasts from Apple, or a deliberate marketing plan as some suspect. The Taptic Engine is one of the most important components of the device, because this is an engine that generates a haptic feedback whenever the user interacts with the screen or is notified. Apparently, an unknown number of units of the engine though presumably quite elevado- have failed the final test phase, just before starting mass production of Apple Watch.

Taptic Engine The engine would have been being manufactured by the company ACC Technologies Holdings and, although the company is headquartered in Hong Kong, the production plant would be located in Shenzhen, China.

In fact, it is not the first time that points to Taptic Engine as the main responsible for the limited availability of Apple Watch. As we read in Appleinsider, Apple also is considering adding new suppliers to manufacture Taptic Engine to try to resolve this situation, and Quanta Computer is a name that sounds harder.
