Google launches its first application for Apple Watch and does so with News & Weather. While many users are still waiting for Apple Watch in their homes, or meet a final release date in their respective countries, developers continue to launch new applications for Smartwatch, some of them from the likes of Google. The Mountain View company has just introduced its first app for Apple Watch and does so with a really useful: News and Weather.

The app Google News and Time combines two information fields that fit well with the nature of the apple smart watch. The application displays in real time the most important headlines and weather forecasts for the area in which we are making sure they only receive information that is relevant to us.

News & Weather for Apple Watch does not seem to include any significant development, the interface is very similar to what we have already seen in similar applications, so we sincerely hope that Google has much more prepared for the watch. As we see in screenshots posted on iTunes, a flat text will show the headline of the story, the half of which comes, how long it has been published and an illustrative picture.

As for the section on implementation time, we have no catches for the time being, although we imagine that will show information similar to the version for iOS devices. If you want to know other applications to be aware of the state of the weather from your wrist, we recommend taking a look at Yahoo Weather and The Weather Channel, both now available for the Apple Watch.

Google could launch coming soon for Apple Watch applications like Google Maps

As discussed, it is expected that Google will join part of the ecosystem of applications Apple Watch as the clock will coming more and more dolls. Some of the upcoming apps that we could see, is undoubtedly a version of Google Maps adapted to SmartWatch. Right now Apple Watch already has the Maps application, but Google could capitalize on its long experience in this sector to offer new features to those found in Apple’s service. If you want to be aware of all new applications have to watch the apple, do not miss our section.

However, the updated app does offer the ability to save the news article to Safari’s Reading List by way of Force Touch (a long press and hold gesture).
