Apple Watch Native Applications Arrive, We Can See a Preview at WWDC
Jeff Williams confirms the arrival of native apps for Apple Watch. Great news for all holders / future owners of an Apple Watch, as the vice president of operations of the company, Jeff Williams, has confirmed in an interview in the framework of the Conference Code as native applications for the watch come from this fall. Which means that we can begin to enjoy native apps? Below we will explain.
In the current version of Apple Watch software, applications need to have a corresponding version for the iPhone and consequently, the iPhone has to be within the range of the clock so they can function. However, from autumn this is no longer necessary and can run directly on Apple Watch, thus increasing the performance and speed of opening apps.
In addition, it appears that we have a first glimpse of these applications in the next WWDC, or at least make developers, as Apple intends to release the SDK to create native apps for Apple Watch as soon as next month. Other advantages of native applications is that they can directly access the hardware device, such as Digital Corona, the Taptic Engine or activity sensors.
When Williams was asked about sales of Apple Watch, the executive has simply say that the numbers are “fantastic”, but has refused to reveal any indicative figure. The style of Tim Cook, Williams has argued that Apple is focused on “making great products” rather than in numbers, but says he has pended “many” of them.

Williams has also had time to talk about other things, as one of particular interest to fans of Apple after news that the company may be working on its own electric vehicle. The executive has referred to the car as “the ultimate mobile device,” although obviously has not hinted any plan beyond carplay reference.
As we read in imore, one of the champions of the Apple Watch project, Williams also said that the device is doing well, even better than he expected. He noted that Apple would sell more if they could make more, though he wouldn’t go into exact numbers. The WWDC will bring us many new features such as IOS 9 OS X 10.11, the rumored new streaming music service and a new generation of Apple TV. The company has confirmed that the opening keynote will take place on Monday, June 8 at 19:00.
