The Asus ZenWatch 2 focuses on customization with over 18 possible combinations of materials and colors. Although we did not expect so soon, Asus has decided some days ago the ZenWatch 2, the second generation of its smart watch. The Taiwan-based company wants to strengthen its presence in the market for Smartwatch. Asus presents the second generation with a more refined design. Above all, a wide range of models to choose from that we had not seen so far in any Android Wear device.
With regard to the design of this new ZenWatch 2 general lines remain faithful to that shown in the previous generation, although we did find a slightly more pronounced curves and a significant reduction in metal market front. Otherwise, the ZenWatch 2 follows the same error sinning design than its predecessor, frameworks unusually large.
Although that’s not all, because this new model has a distinctive feature, this is a small button-shaped crown on its right side. At first it was believed that this button could be rotated in like Apple Watch Digital Crown style, but finally has ended up being a conventional physical button that serves to turn on and off the screen.
But let us focus on the most important aspect of this ZenWatch 2: the customization. First, the watch is available in two different sizes: 49mm (22mm strap) or 45mm (18mm strap). We must add a box available in silver, pink gold or bronze, and a range of very broad belts between which we can choose different materials such as stainless steel, silicone or leather available in different colors. In total, we have 18 possible combinations for our ZenWatch 2.

With regard to the technical characteristics of this new SmartWatch, we will see an AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3, a new magnetic connector for the charger. According to the company executives, The Zen Watch 2 has significantly improves load times. On the software side, we have some interesting news as an application to create and customize our own watchfaces, and of course usingAndroid Wear 5.1.
As you can see, there is still much information to be revealed about this new Asus watch as the final specifications, availability and price. The company explained that provide all the data during the IFA in Berlin which will take place next September, so there are still a few months until we see in the market.
