LG Develops a Hexagonal Battery That Improves The Battery Life

Currently, smartwatch market is a very exciting business. Many companies jumped into this business. All companies keep trying to provide the best. They strive to provide the latest technology and innovation.

More recently, The division of the Asian manufacturer has succeeded in developing the new component. It is LG Chem. LG Chem (one part of LG Corporation) developed a hexagonal battery, this battery specially developed for smartwatch. With this new design, is expected fit to the shape of a circular smartwatch screen.

LG Chem claims with this new battery can improve the durability of the battery up to 25%. Approximately 4 hours of extra time. Wow, a significant number of course.

By the way, it has indicated that this development comes in collaboration with another company (and that is not Apple so it seems). Interestingly – neither LG Electronics (as you may know, LG Electronics already released several smartwatches with circular displays).The fact is that production of the new component has begun and the first units have been sent to this “mysterious” LG partner for hexagonal battery, but it’s not clear exactly when we’ll see smartwatches using it.

Finally, it has also been reported that once seen the success they have achieved in creating this product, LG Chem does not rule out the creation of other batteries with different designs, such as rectangular or integrated holes. They have a purpose for being the top supplier of small size batteries in 2018.
