Axon Watch, ZTE SmartWatch with Tencent OS Operating System
ZTE introduced its first smart watch with circular screen and Tencent OS. The SmartWatch market continues to grow while the Apple Watch seems to be generating revenues and more than 1,000 million. The latest manufacturer to join the industry is ZTE, signing new star that has presented numerous innovations: the Axon Watch.
ZTE has decided to be guided by the current trend that prevails at present in the market and it seems request SmartWatch only watches with circular screen (! The one you’ve bundled Moto 360!). The Axon Watch SmartWatch screen is a circular metal box with sharp edges and a button on one of its latearles to turn on and off the screen. Brought something new this Axon Watch the market for smart watches? Not at all.
In fact, when we look at the promotional photographs we can not help feeling that is extremely similar to Huawei Watch, another circular SmartWatch from a Chinese manufacturer that arrive later this year at a price that is still unknown. If we dive into the technical specifications of this device that is what we found:
- 4-inch screen with Gorilla Glass coverage sapphire
- 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage
- Battery 300 mAh
- IP67 protection against water and dust
- Bluetooth 4.1
- Tencent OS with gesture recognition
As you can see, the specifications are quite common and do nothing we have not already seen in other SmartWatch competition. It is unknown if the clock has heart rate sensor to monitor our activity, although at present has not been included in the initial specifications.
The only noteworthy point is that this SmartWatch has its own operating system OS Tencent. The images provided by the company did not allow us to know a lot about your interface beyond that will have the typical and classic both seem to like the Asian public areas.
As we read on Engadget, the Axon Watch just announced for the Chinese market, so probably not even see it from our lands. In any case, if you like the clock design, I recommend you get your hands on Huawei Watch when you reach the end of the year and will also include Android Wear operating system. Don’t expect epic battery life or performance, then. As it stands, you may have to go out of your way to get one. The Axon Watch is launching in China, and there’s no indications that it’s heading elsewhere anytime soon.
