Last week, a rumor appeared on a Czech website that claimed that Apple was planning to announce new belts that have the ability to connect with the port on the Apple Watch side. For example: how the amount of oxygen in blood, respiratory rate, blood pressure or body temperature.

In addition, some good reasons why these sensors should be on a belt and not within the clock. For example, a body temperature sensor reliability could be affected by the heat given off by the device components, whereas if it is located on the wrist this would be isolated from external factors.

The average sources reported that Apple may launch its first Smartband or smart belt in early 2016, and exist various styles and configurations to suit the needs and models of Apple Watch user. The logic would be found behind actions. The Apple company knows that most users are not willing to renew their watch every year, but at a reduced price if they could buy a new smartbandĀ that be adapted to their needs.

The port would use these belts rumored already being implemented by third-party manufacturers. Reserve Strap, a company that has created a belt with built-in battery that can charge your Apple Watch while we wear.

The launch of smartbands not slow news about the arrival of the new Apple Watch 2

This information was accompanied by speculation suggesting that Apple could not update Apple SmartWatch each year and instead new smart belts increase the device’s capabilities. However, 9to5Mac sources seem to have denied this information, so the Apple Watch 2 is still on track for next year.

Nevertheless, using the straps launch diagnostic port does not seem to be something that will provide optimal user experience, as the port is blocked and a special tool is needed to access it. Even with a kit to doing so may still be difficult to adjust to users.

What do you think? Could Apple be working on these smart belts?
