Obi Worldphone Will Release Two Affordable Phones In Coming Months

If there are among you who still do not know about Obi Worldphone, well it’s normal, because this company is indeed a startup. Behind the desk there is ex-Apple CEO Jhon Sculley, who had led Apple on year 1983 until 1993. As a startup company, the CEO must be aware that the easiest way to have a “name” in the Android market is to make cheap or affordable smartphones, just like what Xiaomi did.

Therefore the Company in the next couple of months will release two devices which are expected to enter the cheap Android market phones. Despite of having cheap prices, Obi Worldphone’s two new smartphones will have stylish design and good specifications.

Obi Worldphone 1

The new Obi Worldphone phones are dubbed as SF1 and SJ1.5. The SJ1.5 is less expensive than the SF1, as a result the specs are also downgraded but still regarded as decent specs. With price tag starting from $129, the SJ1.5 is perfect for you who have limited budget. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 will be equipped with a 5 inch display with 720p resolution. Under the hood there will be 1.3 GHz Quadcore MediaTek MT6580 chip processor complete with 1GB of RAM. 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot should be enough to store your media files. Not to forget the 8 MP primary camera with LED flash and 5 MP front-facing camera are also available. To power up the device, the huge 3000 mAh battery capacity is ready to use.

Obi Worldphone 2

While the more expensive one, Obi Worldphone SF1 will be equipped with a 5 inch display with 1080 p resolution. There will be 64 bit quadcore Snapdragon 615 processor under the hood with two available RAM chooices. 13 MP Sony IMX214 primary camera and Qualcomm Quick Charge technology will be employed inside the phone. The Obi Worldphone SF1 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage will be priced at $199, while the 32 of storage and 3GB of RAM priced at $249.

The design of both smartphones are quiet good and stylish. The SJ1.5’s case is made from polycabonate, while its brother SF1 using fiberglass material.
