Xperia Z5 has 4K Screen Resolution but Runs in Full HD
Launched some time ago at the IFA 2015, the appeal of the Xperia Z5 is on the screen that has a resolution of 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels). But apparently the display technology wasn’t actually used by Sony.
As reported by Phone Arena, Sony said that although the Xperia Z5 screen has brought the 4K resolution, Xperia Z5 run content will remain at full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Except for content that really actual as 4K content, the new Xperia Z5 will run optimally.
This is done solely to meet the claims of Sony, they said that the Xperia Z5 endurance batteries can last up to 2 days. With only run on the Xperia Z5 content at full HD resolution, the battery resistance is believed to be able to survive much longer.
“Much of the content will be displayed on 1.080p or lower resolution to optimize performance and battery stamina for devices (Xperia Z5), in this way ensuring you can enjoy 4K when you (really) need them,” said Sony, we quote from Phone Arena, Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
More specifically, the user will feel 4K technology when running the camera, photo gallery, or video playback 4K in Xperia Z5. Whereas when simply displaying the home screen, reading email, or play games, the resolution will be stuck in full HD.
Although impressed wasted, the 4K technology is actually sensible. Because if you think about it, the user does not merely need a pixel density of 806 ppi on the 4K screen if only to open the internet.
