Is This Form of Microsoft Band 2?

Early next month, precisely on October 6, Microsoft will hold a special event for Windows 10. However, in addition to new devices based on Windows 10, it seems Microsoft will also introduce a new wearable device.

Although a bit behind in the market for wearable devices but Microsoft with the great man had a great ability to compete in the segment which is closely related to IOT (Internet of Things). After launching the Microsoft Band (first) in October 2014, Microsoft has now re-reported will present Microsoft Band 2.

Microsoft is expected to introduce Band 2 at a media event which will held on 6 October, is likely to coincide with the announcement of the Surface Pro 4 and also the new Lumia devices.

Microsoft Band 2 has the code name “Envoy” and will carry a design that is much better than the previous model. Microsoft Band 2 takes a curved shape so as to better fit on the wrist. Front panel made of metal, and this time Microsoft has put the battery in the bottom of the screen, instead of on the side, as it is applied to the first generation band.

If these images are true, apparently the latest wearable from Microsoft will have a display that is much more interesting than the first band. The Verge reported that it had confirmed the Band 2 will indeed have a curved face as you can see in the picture. Although they did not mention whether the leaked picture is true or not.

It is said if Microsoft Band 2 will be equipped with many features, including the ability to monitor changes in altitude and even noted stair climbing. According to Windows Central, the device will be powered by the optical heart rate monitor, an accelerometer / gyrometer, GPS, microphone, ambient light sensor, Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor and a UV sensor.

Recently MicrosoftInsider.es site has gained hands-on image that shows what Microsoft views Band 2. Judging from the image, Microsoft Band 2 seems to use a curved display, as was rumored last July.

But at first glance, you might be reminded of the Samsung Gear Fit. Yes, they do look similar, although not exactly 100% the same.
