LG Watch Urbane 2, First Android Wear Smartwatch with LTE Connectivity

LG, The South Korean Company, launched a new smartwatch, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition. This smartwatch was predicted to be a rival of Apple Watch. As reported from GsmArena, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is the successor of the LG Watch Urbane that already launched some time ago.

Processor and Operating System

This smartwatch, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will use the Android Wear operating system (OS) and Snapdragon 400 processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz. LG Watch Urbane is the first smartwatch that use Android Wear.

Design and Screen Resolution

The design of the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is similar to the LG Watch Urbane early generations (first gen). The new Urbane has a design that is not much different from the previous model, but with a more subtle. Outer body is round and stainless steel. It has many strap color options like black, blue, white and brown.

This smartwatch equipped with a 1.38 inches screen. It has P OLED display technology that makes the screen look clear. It has a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels. It is improvement than the first generation that is only 320 x 320 pixels.

Connectivity Feature

The biggest difference from its predecessor is cellular connectivity feature. Thus, not only can be connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but 3G or 4G. It makes smart watches can be connected to the Internet quickly without any intermediary or any other smartphone.

LG Watch Urbane 2 utilizes a nano-SIM and can be used with any network. Now no longer need to worry when the smartphone behind in the house, because you still have access to email, messaging and all the data as well as important contact through smartwatch.

Battery Capacity and Certification

LG Watch Urbane 2 has 570 mAh battery capacity with additional power saving mode that makes the battery power more economical.

It also equipped with 768 MB of RAM with 4 GB of internal memory. It also water and dust resistant with IP67 certification.

The Availability

This smartwatch will be launched in the United States, South Korea, Europe, many of Asia countries and the Middle East. However, the official price is still waiting for further news.
