Now iMac 21.5 Inch Use 4K Screen Resolution
Apple updated the iMac 21.5 inch. Now, it has a screen resolution of 4K. Previously, only the iMac 27-inch that has an extra large screen resolution, which is a 5K.
The screen resolution is the most important note on this product update. Now, the users can enjoy the screen setting resolution up to 4096 x 2304 and P3 Color Gamut technology to display 25% more deep color. Everything is packaged in a display with the sRGB color base to display more detailed picture, sharp and vivid.
Not just the screen that gets an update, Apple also complements the new iMac’s processor and faster RAM, including new graphics chip (GPU). Still, the most visible part is the screen because of the increased resolution is very large, from 1080p to 4K.
What about the other hardware specs? CPU, it still using Intel’s family of i5 quad-core 3.1 GHz. It has 1TB of storage capacity along with 8GB RAM – 1867 Mhz LPDDR3. The graphics card uses the Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200.

Now, the cheapest iMac – with a 1080p display – using an Intel i5 dual-core 1.6 GHz. While 4K cheapest version uses Intel i5 quad-core processor 3.1 GHz, equipped with GPU Intel Iris Pro to offset the high-resolution screen.
iMac RAM speed also increased, from LPDDR3 8 GB 1600 MHz to 8 GB RAM LPDDR3 1867 GHz which can be upgraded to 16 GB. The storage options are now bigger, and now supports the use of Thunderbolt 2.
Although the spec increased dramatically, the apperance of iMac 21.5 is still the same as the previous iMac generation. iMac 21.5 inch display with 4K sold at a starting price of USD 1,499, while the 1080p version released with prices starting at USD 1,099.
