Nuance Communications and Pebble Introduce New Voice Recognition Technology

Nuance Communications and Pebble Technology have announced a partnership to introduce Nuance Voice Recognition technology into the latest Pebble smartwatch products. Namely in the Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel and Pebble Time Round.

Pebble spokesman said that this voice recognition technology will allow users to reply to emails and text messages using their voice, with just one button touch.

Reportedly, the voice recognition feature will be available first for Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel. For Pebble Round users in the United States should be patient to wait till 8 November, which is the new voice recognition technology will be integrated.

So far Pebble and Nuance also creates API Dictation, open access for developers to build applications based on voice. The Developers who are interested in using the technology of Pebble API can check all documentation on the Pebble developer’s site.

Many people are skeptical about the presence of voice recognition at Pebble smart watches. Is this feature is really needed and can effectively integrated ?
