Zeiss makes External Lens for iPhone

Although the iPhone has good quality camera, in fact, it still has its limitations. This is trying to be handled by Fellowes that will create a brand-new external lens camera that will make the iPhone camera better.

In the arena of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016, Fellowes released three external lenses for iPhone. The third lens covers wide-angle, telephoto and macro. In manufacturing, they took the famous German manufacturer of lenses, Zeiss.

“We are very pleased to announce the partnership with Zeiss, which has experienced more than 170 years. The partnership brings unique consumer lens solutions and innovative,” said John E. Fellowes, Chief Executive Officer of  Fellowes was quoted from iClarified saying on Thursday (1/7/ 2016)

“ExoLens with optics by Zeiss will change the quality of indoor mobile photography, providing professional-grade results for the users,” he continued.

ExoLens Zeiss lens body is made of aluminum material. Fellowes helped complete the lens with a mounting bracket that is also made with the same material.

The bracket will be installed in the body of the iPhone 6/6 Plus and iPhone 6S / 6S Plus. The users can pair the standard tripod (1/4 “-20) at the bottom of this bracket. 

Fellowes is planned to be released this lens in the second quarter of 2016. Unfortunately, they have not put forward its official price. But it seems not much of a price ExoLens sold last year, which for iPhone 6 / 6S is pegged to USD 130, while the iPhone 6 Plus USD 150.
