Google is reportedly improving the intelligence of their digital map service. The trick is to add a feature called Driving Mode in Google Maps.

Driving Mode will trace the locations that have been visited by the user and recorded in your Google account. Data from these searches will be used to predict the location that will be addressed by the users.

Yes, Google Maps will be able to give advice to users about the route, based on travel time and traffic conditions, quoted from The Verge, on Wednesday (13/01/2016).

It looks like the algorithms used by Google Maps. It is similar to the feature use in Google Now. But of course, with some adjustments, such as the type of transport used.

Later, the user can launch Driving Mode feature by sweeping the left side of the screen when using Maps. The 9.19 version of Google Maps that already has these features are now becoming available to most users.
