Nexus 5X Teardown Video Review and The Complete Hardware Information
Are you curious about the the hardware on the Nexus 5X? There is a good news for you, especially for you that want to know more about this smartphone. This is not about the normal talk about the specs, it more depth review. So, this is about the Nexus 5X teardown. There is a Nexus 5X teardown video review from iFixit. iFixit has ripped, open and found that many of the Nexus 5X’s internal (hardware) components.
According to iFixit, Nexus 5X has regular Philips screws throughout. You have probably already got the tools for any repairs for other smartphone. This phone just like almost every other smartphone on the market to date.
The Nexus 5X has a fused display, if either breaks or malfunctions, it will require replacing the cover glass and LCD together. Furthermore, if the USB Type-C port on 5X (somehow get fails), that will likely necessitate a brand new motherboard. While everything else here can be fixed without any incidents, including that super fast Nexus Imprint sensor hardware. Here the video from iFixit:
The Nexus 5X teardowns that iFixit has given, it will be useful for the users. iFixit has told you how easy to repair the Nexus 5X. iFixit has given the phone a repairability score of 7 out of 10. That’s not bad. The goal of the score points for the fact, that the hardware components are modular and can be replaced independently (for the most part). You can only take a simple Philips screwdriver to work if you have got any replacement needs. The only bad thing here is the fused display, because, if you break the LCD, you will need to replace both (LCD and the glass).
Another thing that we need to remember is, the Nexus 5X teardown reveals a whole bunch of Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and the Quick Charge 2.0 modules on the phone. The camera on smartphone is once again confirmed as the Sony IMX377 which has 12.3MP specs. Finally, the decently-sized 2700mAh non-removable battery almost appears to be removable, but that is not a removable battery type.
What do you think about the Nexus 5X teardown? Are you interested to repair the Nexus 5X by yourself ? (I hope this does not happen). I think, you need to get more skills and discussion before acts. It could be better for you to ask someone that has an advanced skill (like a technician).
Well, that is all about the Nexus 5X teardown. If there, something else that we need to talk, please tell us via comment.
Big thanks to iFixit for the images and video.
