Step 1: First, you need to set the language of your phone

Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi
If you want to connect to your Wi-Fi, make sure that you are in a range of a wireless signal. Another way, you can connect to your Wi-Fi router. If get the Wi-Fi signal, you must see the name of the Wi-Fi network or your own router appear in the list of Wi-Fi networks on the screen. You can tap on the name of Wi-Fi network that you know to continue to connect to Wi-Fi, or you can press skip to ignore the Wi-Fi network connection.
Step 3: You need to enter the Wi-Fi password when it needed
You can ask the Wi-Fi password from the owner, or the password should be shown on a sticker on your Wi-Fi router. Sometimes the password is referred to as a wireless passphrase or WPA key. After you have got the password, then you only need to write it on password box. Finally, you are ready to connect with the Wi-Fi by tapping “Connect”.
Step 4: Sign in with your Google account
You need to sign in with your Google account to unlock some features on your Nexus 5X such as to browse the “Play Store” or sync your “Google contacts.” If you have ready got Google account before, then you need to enter your Gmail account, then you can tap Next. However, if you do not have a Google account already, you can directly to make Google accoutn for free by tapping “Create a new account” from the dialoge box.
If you are signing in with your Google account, then you can insert your Gmail account password, then you can tap Next. Another way, you can fill your details to sign up for a new Google (Gmail) account. After you have signed in your Google account successfully, then you can tap Accept to agreed the “terms of service,” and the “privacy policy” from Google.
After that steps, you will be asked to choose the Google services that you had like to use. All of the services are very useful, even they are (the service) not necessary for you to use your Nexus 5X. Finally, if you love the default settings here, you can scroll down, and then you can press the next button. However, you can also add the other email address if want it, even the email came from any provider (not from Google). IN order to add the second email account from another provider or from Google, you can tap on the type of email account that you want to add. If you don’t want it, you can select “Not now” then you can tap on “Next”.
Step 5: Protect your Nexus 5X and the data by using lock screen feature
We knew that the Nexus 5X has a fingerprint scanner that can be used to add a “very secure” lock screen to protect your phone. If you want to activate this feature, you can choose Set-up fingerprint, then tap Next. After that, you will see more details information about the fingerprint feature. After you have read the information carefully, you can tap on “Next” twice.
In order to get full protection , you need to choose a backup for the “security setting”. This step will very useful when the fingerprints can not recognize your finger, then you will still get the access to your Nexus 5X from the backup security setting. You can choose from “Pattern”, “PIN” or “Password” then you can tap Next. Just follow the instruction, and then you can Confirm the PIN or Password that you have entered before. Then you can tap the “green circle” again to continue the step. If you protect your phone with a lock screen, you can set to choose the notifications to show on the lock screen or you can hide the notification on the lock screen.
Step 6: Set-up Nexus 5X Fingerprint feature
You can find the Nexus 5X fingerprint sensor on the rear phone, close with your camera lens. How to register your fingerprint? You can simply place your finger on the fingerprint sensor circle, then you need to lift it up. You can continue the process by moving your finger around to record your fingerprint in full picture. Repeat this step until the “blue circle” on the screen is completed. After you have already succeed to register your fingerprint, the smartphone will confirm this action.
Step 7: Nexus 5X Home Screen
Finally, you will see the home screen, and you will also see a Welcome pop-up here. You can simply Tap on Got it to ignore the pop-up, then, now you are ready to use your Nexus phone.
