YouTube Space Program to Voice The Gender Equality
On 8 March, the world will celebrate The International Women’s Day. To celebrate this big day, YouTube signed an agreement with the United Nations (UN).
YouTube chose this month as a first step to start campaign for gender equality. YouTube invite the woman who is now the ‘icon’ in a real world become example the development of gender equality movement.
Some global YouTuber, like Ingrid Nilsen, Jackie Aina, Yuya, Taty Ferreira, Hayla Ghazal, Louise Pentland, and Chika Yoshida officially became the icons or Change Ambassadors that will help the campaign for gender equality as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the past few months, a number of women YouTuber have joined the YouTube Spaces program. In this program, YouTube gather talented women to make a video and learn from each other in the YouTube Space worldwide.
YouTube Space is already in Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, New York, Sao Paulo and Berlin. The woman YouTuber pioneer had made over 50 videos together. To voice a range of perspectives, from discussions about careers, until tribute to outstanding women leaders throughout history.
