Scrabble Apps for Android: Fun, Challenging and Most Certainly Educative

Scrabble Apps for Android: The Best Classic Board Games

Scrabble has been a favorite game for many years before the digital era. It is a great way to past time with your friends and family, deepening your bond with them. It is a classic board game, which involves the use of letter tiles in making actual words in order to score the most points. Millions of people around the world enjoy playing it.

There is some strategy involved and it will definitely stretch your vocabulary muscles quite a bit. Fun, challenging and most certainly educative. If you’re looking to play on mobile, there are quite a few really good Scrabble games available. The Play Store offers some really good Scrabble games, check them out!

1. Aworded

Description

Chosen Apple Store’s Best Game of 2012, Aworded is an addictive word game that has already exceeded 20 million downloads. Challenge your friends and enjoy yourself by making words!

You can play whenever you want and against whomever you want: It is an asynchronous, cross-platform, multi-player game. You can play against your friends or against random opponents. And there are unlimited simultaneous games!

Aworded is just like any other scrabble game, the rules is simple: combine the letters in your rack with the ones in the board, and use the bonus squares to get more points. You can double and even triple the value of the letters you use or the words you make! Besides, if you manage to use all the letters on the rack in one same move. Win by expanding your own vocabulary. Try it out!

2. Scrabble

Description

CONNECT WITH FRIENDS. PLAY WITH WORDS. Get a game of SCRABBLE going with just about anyone – or play solo against the computer! Plus, now you can play SCRABBLE in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, or Brazilian Portuguese.

The mother of all bored game, Hasbro (in my opinion) has created a scrabble game for android.  It’s free to play but there is a catch, ads on every single one of the games, either pop up or the videos one and it is pretty annoying. The game is fun though, it is the classic Scrabble experience. You can play online against Facebook friends or random people. There is also a solo mode if you want to play by yourself.

3. Wordsmith

Description

Wordsmith is a 2 to 4 player turn-based crossword style game. The concept is simple and fun. You have a 15 by 15 tile board with bonus squares for Double Letter, Double Word, Triple Letter, and Triple Word scores. You play words with tiles in left-to-right or top-to-bottom directions and earn points. The player with the highest number of points at the end wins the game.

Wordsmith has been going around for awhile now. Wordsmith is one of the simpler alternatives for scrabble out there. It has multi-player support, allowing you to play against two and four different players. You can either play against friends or random opponents.
