Google’s YouTube Kids application launched just under two years ago, as an attempt to make YouTube a bit more children-friendly. The app has been somewhat successful, with a few bumps along the way. The best things is that, they listened to the users suggestion and finally made this great apps.
Description
The official YouTube Kids app is designed for curious little minds. This is a delightfully simple (and free!) app, where kids can discover videos, channels and playlists they love.
We work hard to offer a safer YouTube experience, but no automated system is perfect. If you ever find a video you’re concerned about, please flag it. This helps make YouTube Kids better for everyone. For more important notes about the app, please see below.
Parents can now block videos from the overflow menu on any video or channel, as seen above. Blocked content is synced through your Google account, so you won’t lose your block list by reinstalling the app or buying a new device.
To make exploration easy, videos in the app are split into four categories: Shows, Music, Learning and Explore. The apps also took out the complicated stuff to make an app even little ones can navigate — that means big buttons, easy scrolling, and instant full-screen. And when the whole family wants to enjoy their favorite videos together, everyone can watch on the big screen with Chromecast, game consoles, or smart TVs.
Youtube will hand picked the video based on what you want them to watch. Pre-school, school age, or all kids. Kids can enjoy favorites like Thomas & Friends, DreamworksTV and Talking Tom, online hits like Mother Goose Club, Super Simple Songs and Wonder Quest, plus anything else they’re into — sports, animals, gaming, crafts and more, or you could just blocked it for your kids if you didn’t want them to watch the stuff.
In conclusion with the newly introduced channel blocking, this app finally deserves full five stars. This will definitely help parents to educate their child and protect them.
