The solution is really easy, which is to use your micro SD Card as a cheap way to expand your phone’s storage space. By doing so, you will be able to expand your phone’s storage and you can move apps to an sd card to free up space rather than removing the installed apps on your android device.
But how can you do it? So roonby, had made some of the easiest tips and tricks that you guys can use to move the app that you had on your phone storage to SD Card.
Note: depends on your android version you might need to root your phone.
How to move apps to SD Card on any android phone
1. How to move apps to SD Card on latest Android version
- Insert the card into your phone. When the new SD Card notification appears, tap set up.
- Next, you need to choose how your phone should use the card. Select phone storage on Android 9, or use as internal storage on older versions.
- Go to Settings > Storage, tap the card, tap the menu button, and select Storage Settings. Tap Format as internal.
- In the latest Android 9, you’re offered to move your content like photos, video and also apps onto the card. It also shows you how much space you’ll save. Tap “Move Content” to proceed.
Note: Automatically most of your app installed will now be installed in your internal storage by default
2. How to move apps on Android Pie
- Settings > Apps & notifications > App info.
- Find the app you want to move and tap it.
- Select Storage. If the app supports being moved to a card, you’ll see a button here labeled Change. Tap it.
- Select the SD Card and you are done.
3. How to move apps on Android Oreo.
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Find the app you want to move to your microSD Card and tap on it.
- Go to Storage > Change and choose your card from the prompt box that opens.
- Tap Move to complete the process.
4. How to move apps on Android Nougat and Marshmallow
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- find the app you want to move to your microSD Card and tap on it.
- Go to Storage > Change and choose your card from the prompt box that opens.
- Tap Move to complete the process.
Note: Not all apps can be moved to sd card on Nougat and Marshmallow
