Because of Coronavirus (COVID-19), there are many activities that need to be done at home. This includes schools where students have been using google classroom or meet to do their work. But without any surveillance of the teacher, most students tend to look at their smartphone rather than their book.
Parents also have a hard time to know whether an app is good for the child development or not, and because of that Google recently updated a new feature on Google play store called “Teacher Approved”
Teacher Approved is a new feature to help parents know what kind of app that is good for their children. Most of the parents don’t really know about the technology that is good for children. Google decided to cooperate with the teacher all around the world to check apps on google play that is useful for your children. The app that is approved will then be added a teacher-approved badge on google play store.
Apps are rated based on the age-appropriateness, quality of experience, enrichment and delight. There are also information in the app listing about why the app was rated highly to help the parents.
To access the tab, you only need to go to the kid’s tab and there will be some apps with a badge on. The new Kids tab with “Teacher approved” apps will roll out in the U.S. on Google Play over the next few days, and we’ll be expanding internationally in the coming months!
