Mobile Legends recently got banned from India Government alongside 50 more other apps. India decide to remove 59 Chinese made apps from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Games and Apps like Clash of Clans, Mobile Legends, and even Tik Tok and UC Browser can’t be accessed in India anymore. Over the past weeks, Tension along with India with China has been rising over, and there are no sign of it slowing down. This results in the recent banned of Mobile Legends games in the country.
The banned is released by the Ministry of Information and Technology that issued an order. Of course many gamers are shock when they found out that their Clash of Kings games and Mobile Legends is not accessible in their country anymore.
Why were Mobile Legends banned in India?
While the main reason hasn’t been known yet, The ministry of information have released a statement on a press release for the public to see:
“The Ministry of Information Technology, invoking it’s power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009 and in view of the emergent nature of threats has decided to block 59 apps since in view of the information available they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”.
There are rumors that Chinese companies are collecting data of their users/players, while this is not proven, The India Government has taken a drastic measure to banned the alleged apps on their country. This is to ensure their people are safe from data piracy, and the risk of their citizens relating to operation of certain apps.

Well, this banned will certainly shook lots of people, especially the game is one of the top 100 games that is downloaded on Google play store since April 2020. Mobile Legends has been one of the growing games in India with a growing community (Proven with tons of local tournaments happening in the country). While their fan base in India can’t do anything about it and wait until the government decides on future action!
