Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Blastoise Skill Explanation, and Best Build Recommendation!

Roonby.com – Pokemon Unite is a new Pokemon MOBA game in which players must pick a pokemon to fight in a MOBA 1v1 setting. There are many Pokemon that you can use in the game, one of which is the most popular Blastoise which is a durable and ranged defender that have high mobility, annoying crowd control and burst damage.

Blastoise Skill Sets:

Passive: Torrent

Blastoise can increase Attack and Sp. Attack by 20% while at half HP or less.

Move 1 – Water Gun

Blastoise shoots a jet of water in a straight line; damaging, knocking back, and stunning enemies hit for .5s. Enemies hit are also slowed for 1s.

  • Evolve Move 1 – Hydro Pump
    Blastoise shoots a large amount of water; damaging, knocking back, and stunning enemies hit for .5s.
  • Evolve Move 1 – Water Spout
    Blastoise calls down a barrage of water in a targeted radius. Enemies within the radius are struck 6 times over its duration, damaging and slowing them.

Move 2 – Skull Bash

Blastoise dashes forward damaging and stunning all enemies hit for .5s.

  • Evolve Move 2 – Surf
    Blastoise rides a large wave in the designated direction; damaging, knocking back, and stunning enemies hit for 1.6s. Blastoise is unstoppable while surfing, and once it ends, Blastoise can jump in a designated direction. The wave continues for a short duration after leaping off and the wave continues to knock back enemies hit but inflicts no damage.
  • Evolve Move 2 – Rapid Spin
    Blastoise withdraws into its shell and begins rapidly spinning for 5.5s; resetting the cooldown of its other move. Blastoise is unstoppable for the duration of Rapid Spin and can freely move about the battlefield. While spinning, Blastoise will damage nearby enemies. Blastoise’s next basic attack after Rapid Spin ends becomes boosted. For the duration of Rapid Spin, the mechanics of Blastoise’s Basic attacks as well as Hydro Pump and Water Spout are changed.

Ultimate – Hydro Typhoon

Blastoise gains a shield and sweeps powerful water jets in a large circle around itself dealing massive damage and throwing enemies hit into the air.

Blastoise Build Recommendation:

Crowd Control Build:

Blastoise has many crowd control skills, and because most of his skills has ranged and area damage, this build really suits him, becomes one of the worst and most recommended build for Blastoise users. However, you might want to go with your teams to secure the kills:

  • Skills recommendation: Hydro Pump, and Surf
  • Item Recommendation: Buddy Barrier, Shell Bell, and Lastly Energy Amplifier.
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

Note: Use Surf to open the fight and deal Crowd control to kill the enemies, Use eject button to reposition to use your skill better, and then use Hydro Pump to deal damage.

Defender Build:

Blastoise’s main role is a tank, which is why it is not surprising that he has a tank build to help him fight in the game, here are some of the build recommendation to make him a better Defender:

  • Skills recommendation: Hydro Pump, and Surf
  • Item Recommendation: Score Shield, Focus Band, and lastly Buddy Barrier.
  • Battle Item: Eject Button, or Potion

Note: Open with Surf, deal damage with Hydro Pump, Use Eject to reposition or run, and then use Potion to heal when you’re low.

Damage Build:

Although he is a Defender, Blastoise also has high damage that you can use to deal damage and kills the other enemies. Here are some of the build recommendation to make him a better damage dealer:

  • Skills recommendation: Water Spout, and Rapid Spin
  • Item Recommendation: Energy Amplifier, Focus Band and lastly Buddy Barrier.
  • Battle Item: Eject Button, Potion, Soul Smoke

Note: Always use Rapid spin, and while the skill is in effect, immediately use Water Spout for high damage, energy amplifier can reduce your cooldown, Focus Band, and Buddy Barrier for more defends, so you can survive more.
