Xiaomi takes a new approach to implement the new Android skin in the MIUI 12 generation by releasing the MIUI 12.5 update, which consists of new features and bug fixes rather than a new version. This appears to be a new method for the popular Chinese brand to deliver the latest MIUI 13 updates.
The company is finally ready to bring a new update to its users in the form of MIUI 13.5 a few months after its initial release. While it’s unclear which smartphones will receive the update, a new report reveals which devices will not receive it, and Roonby will provide leaked information below!

Xiaomi users running Android 11 will not receive the MIUI 13.5 update, according to the report. This information comes as a surprise from Xiaomi, as previous versions of the Chinese brand typically receive MIUI updates regardless of Android version.
If the phones on the list above do not receive the update, it appears that this is a change that will be implemented in the future. It appears that Xiaomi is finding it increasingly difficult to support older devices, so it will eventually release support for the OS update as a whole. Of course, the MIUI 13.5 update’s absence will disappoint some users who have been waiting for a newer version of the software.
However, Xiaomi itself still has not confirmed the truth of this information, so there is still a chance that in the future Xiaomi will even update the 20 devices listed above.
