Vespa’s mobile game Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness was recently rumoured to be delaying or even cancelling development. The first trailer for the mobile game was released in August 2021, and the game is expected to be released in early 2022, or at the very least go through a beta test before that.
Despite the fact that the game takes place 1000 years after the first, classic characters from the series such as Max, Bowie, Mae, and Sarah can be found in the mobile game.
Other characters are expected to join the new mobile game and be introduced. This game’s title describes a unique SRPG gameplay strategy with more features than the original setting. It’s possible that the company is having financial difficulties developing the game title, and that the sale rights are taking a long time to negotiate with SEGA and/or Hive.
Following the announcement of the Shining Force Mobile game’s postponement, Vespa is said to be focusing on the games King’s Raid and Time Defender.
