According to new Sensor Tower data, the worldwide gaming industry produced $21 billion in revenue in the first quarter of 2022, a 7% reduction from the same period the previous year. The research was conducted by Sensor Tower. The cost breakdown for the entire mobile game business, including the app store and Google Play store, is currently being built by the research company.

During this time period, there was a 14 percent fall in the total $8 billion spent on Google Play and a 2 percent decline in the total number of consumers on Apple’s app store.

While other popular games have remained the same from last year, PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, and Genshin Impact have maintained their positions as the top three in terms of overall revenue for the first quarter of this year, with a combined total of $735 million in the first quarter of this year.

Sensor Tower also claims that spending on game marketing increased by 41 percent in the first quarter of 2022.
