Bandai Namco Tease Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Mobile RPG Gameplay!

Bandai Namco announced last week that Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, its newest RPG mobile game, will be released globally later this year. Only a few days after the game’s announcement, a new trailer demonstrating the PVE combat system of the mobile action RPG game was released.

Players will control three characters in a team, one of which will be the main character, active and able to be combined with the other two. In Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, players can utilize chain combos obtained by changing characters during combat to maximize their damage output.

Additionally, by switching to another character, players can avoid all existing damage, as they will gain an invulnerable/invincible status for a brief period. On the other hand, another detail visible is the three main classes, beginning with Attacker, Defender, and Supporter, where each player can choose which class to use and build a team around a specific role.
