After releasing a voice messaging feature for its users, WhatsApp now wants to add a community tab to the chat application. First announced in March 2022, new details related to this feature are finally known. According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp is rumoured to be opening a community tab on Android and iOS.

This feature will appear on the left side of the chat screen and will take the place of the previous camera shortcut. According to the screenshots sent or leaked from WABetaInfo, this tab can be used to make it easier to get updates from the communities or groups you follow.

Users can also create their own community in the WhatsApp application by using this feature. It is not clear what the difference is from the ‘Group’ feature that has been presented in the WhatsApp application, but it is known that all the communities that you have created will be present in that tab.

Until now, there is no information regarding the release of this feature, and when this feature will be present in the WhatsApp BETA program. Interested users can join the beta program here, to get information related to the release of this feature in the future.

On the other hand, WhatsApp is currently looking for ways to increase and send the data size that can be provided in the application. Now WhatsApp can only send a max of 100MB files, but in the future, this service can be increased to 2GB.
