NetEase Games Establishes Its First Studio in the United States
NetEase is one of the video game businesses frequently compared to Tencent in the Chinese business battle, not only in terms of cash, but also in terms of game portfolio. Initially focused on mobile game development, NetEase expanded into the PC and console sectors. Their seriousness emerged after they published Naraka Bladepoint and created Nagoshi Studio from Yakuza creators.
NetEase has now announced the opening of their first studio in the United States in order to compete in the western gaming market. This studio is called Jackalope Games and is run by a veteran of the video game industry, Jack Emmert. Emmert previously served as the CEO of Daybreak Game Company, a developer known for its MMORPG titles like as Planetside 2.

It is not yet known what game Jackalope Games will develop, but the presence of NetEase’s former Planetside 2 developer head ensures that the company will create new PC and console games.
Nonetheless, Jack Emmert’s experience as an MMO game developer bolsters the likelihood that Jackalope Games will create games in similar genres. He was responsible for the development of numerous MMOs, including Neverwinter, DC Universe Online, and Star Trek Online.
NetEase made it clear that they would not interfere in creative matters in the development of the Jackalope Games game. They describe the studio as a developer working independently.
