With so many cloud-based gaming platforms, Microsoft businesses can now alter their strategies in previously unthinkable ways. A little over a year and a half ago, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer announced that players would be able to stream Xbox games to their televisions a year later, and he reiterated this in June, when Microsoft introduced a Smart TV app and Xbox Streaming Stick.

Microsoft is rumored to be planning the release of an Xbox cloud gaming platform within the next 12 months, according to Venture Beat. This information was disclosed by “people with knowledge of the situation.” The delay in the release of cloud gaming may have been caused by the invasion of Ukraine and the shutdown in China.

It is currently unknown what the device form of the newest Xbox will be, but it is rumored that it will be comparable to the Amazon Fire Stick. This device can be used to stream content from TV apps, as well as access Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Please note that Microsoft is also collaborating with Samsung to develop this streaming application so that Samsung Smart TV users will not need to purchase a new device in order to gain access to the upcoming feature.
