Ragnarok Online was a very popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the early 2000s, and over the following two decades, it has earned its place as one of the games with the greatest number of private servers, despite the fact that the original and official games are still in operation. Gravity itself has not taken any action in the last few years to limit the number of private servers, at least not until the last two weeks, according to the company.
As a result, the Ragnarok Online private server community is quite dissatisfied this week. This is because Gravity, the major publisher of Ragnarok, has finally taken legal action against individuals who established private servers for the MMORPG games.
They have also invited players to report any private servers they are aware of, along with any information that may be useful to the investigation, in order for them to file a lawsuit in court. Gravity has stated that they will be taking action against what they consider to be illegal private servers, as well as against those who have taken data.
Gravity First Victim, NovaRo!
Following information gathered from outside media, Gravity intends to sue the owner of NovaRO, Manuel Ruiz, who runs one of the most popular Ragnarok Online private servers, as well as ten other individuals who have yet to be identified in the suit. The plaintiffs in this action claim that NovaRo has profited from the sale of unlicensed goods to its players by exploiting copyright.
A California court was also urged to declare that NovaRo and its employees had violated Gravity’s Copyright and copyrights, bar NovaRo from continuing activities, and award Gravity damages and lawsuits. The court denied Gravity’s request.

Remember that there are presently over 2000 individuals online from all over the world playing NovaRo, as well as a separate market for selling premium things under the name Nova Points, which is facilitated by the use of real money. The exact reason why Gravity is bringing the case at this time is unknown; however, it is possible that Gravity is attempting to eliminate competitors from its massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
