Moonton, the developer of the popular MOBA game Mobile Legends, has been accused of plagiarism. On May 9, RIOT Games, the developer of League of Legends: Wild Rift, filed a lawsuit against Moonton in a California district court. According to the report, League of Legends: Wild Rift sued Moonton for numerous plagiarism violations in the popular MOBA game Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang.
Riot Games Charged Mobile Legends Moonton With Plagiarism:
Some of them are Hero Mobile Legends heroes and skins that are considered to be plagiarized from League of Legends: Wild Rift, such as the Gloo Mobile Legends hero, who is very similar to Zac in Wild Rift. Then there’s the Guinivere Psionic Oracle skin, which is very similar to Ahri K/skin DA’s in that Guinivere transforms into a 9-tailed fox with a crystal-like tail.
Dark Cosmic Jhin (Wild Rift), Dark Star Thresh (League of Legends), and Dark Star Xerath (League of Legends), who’s a lot like Yve (Mobile Legends: Bang bang).
Not only that, Riot also accused Moonton from plagiarizing the logo that they had made for League of Legends from the old version to the newest version:
