Blizzard President Deemed Diablo Immortal Critics Unfair and Rumors on Blizzard Mobile Game

The collaboration between Blizzard and NetEase in the game Diablo Immortal, while not considered a success by fans, received praise from Blizzard’s CEO. This is due to a controversy surrounding in-game microtransactions, which were deemed unfair by Blizzard President Mike Ybarra.

In LA Times, Ybarra stated that Blizzard’s monetization was not too bad, but rather normal. This is due to the fact that the game is still completely free for those who do not wish to spend any money. In terms of monetization, he believes Diablo Immortal has succeeded in providing his fans with a Diablo experience in which they can obtain 99.5% of the game’s content.

This philosophy presents gameplay in Diablo Immortal so that players can play all campaigns without spending a dime, and when you want to invest in the game, you spend money. President Blizzard also stated that Diablo monetization occurs only in the End game, so there is no need to be concerned. He even hinted that other Blizzard games would be coming to mobile.
