Honor has revealed the Honor X8 5G smartphone, which is supposedly the 5G version of the Honor X8 that was released in March of this year. However, there is more to it than the addition of 5G networking support.
Honor X8 5G Launch with SD 480+ and 48MP primary camera was launched!
The new X8 5G has a smaller IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The Snapdragon 680 SoC has been replaced with a Snapdragon 480+, which, despite its older manufacturing process and slower clock speeds, is surprisingly more powerful. The only memory choice available is 6GB/128GB.
Honor had to make some sacrifices to maintain the pricing, therefore the main 64MP camera has been replaced with a 48MP f/1.8 camera, and the 5MP ultrawide camera has been removed. The X8 5G now just features a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, the selfie has been lowered to 8MP f/2.0.
