Moving towards the end of Final Fantasy XI, deciding the endgame job is a hot topic for all the good reasons. There is a total of twenty-two jobs in FFXI for now, and new monthly updates always bring change to some of these jobs.

This means that new updates can increase or decrease the strength of any given job. To help players in deciding the job, here are some of the best jobs that they can use to deal with the endgame content singlehandedly.

Final Fantasy XI – Best EndGame Jobs!

Geomancer

Whether you are dealing with the endgame content or starting your adventure in Final Fantasy XI, Geomancer is your best option, all thanks to the geomancy spell, which is one of the strongest spells. If you use geomancer spells at the right time, this will turn even the strongest monsters into kittens. You can buy FFXI Gil to get the famous Idris ergon weapon to almost double up the status of the geomancer.

Rune Fencer

Rune fencer is a tank class in Final Fantasy XI and the best option for those who want to take the role of a tank. With the right build of rune fencer, you can save yourself as well as your team from magic damage. Despite the fact that Rune fencer is a tank job, it can still inflict some pretty good damage to enemies. The support job for rune fencer also impacts its performance in battle.

White Mage

Are you looking for a healer to complete your dream team in FFXI? White mage is a pretty good healer and can work with any given team. Its healing abilities are pretty good and work best with the status removal spell to cause an area of effect.

Bard

Before the recent update, the bard hasn’t considered a good endgame job because of its enmity, Adventure dirge, and merits, but everything is changed now, and it has become a popular job since then. You need some high-level weapons and armor pieces as well as spend time playing with them. It is quite expensive job but can make any team stronger.

Paladin

Paladin comes up with the area of effect abilities to heal the entire party and empty the spot of the healer to add a damage dealer to the team. It can survive even some of the heaviest attacks in the game and is a good tank. The only issue is that you need aegis to join multiplayer parties in FFXI as a paladin.

Red Mage

The power of red mage was already great, but recent updates have made things a lot more complicated for players who can handle power. The biggest change happened to the saboteur ability, which is known for stunning enemies right from the start of the fight to let other teammates deal damage to them. It is also known for dealing some good amount of magic damage to enemies using magical weapon skills as well as en-spells. It features a variety of abilities to help you get out of every situation. The only thing you need to look for is how you select your gears because one wrong move can destroy your build. Try to learn about all its technicalities before selecting it as your main job to get the most out of it.

Monk

Monk was already a versatile job in Final Fantasy XI, but it was upgraded to the hand-to-hand damage-dealing machine. It also features tank capabilities now and has some good weapon skills. The famous empyrean Verethragna is its flagship ability, and the stats for this ability are doubled for the end game content to make it more powerful than ever before.

Samurai

Samurais are Japanese sword wielders who have been fighting for centuries. In FFXI, Samurais are known for their heavy damage-dealing skills. For the maximum effect, you need to add a mythic or an empyrean weapon to your Samurai build. When it comes to its skill chains, Samurai is one of the strongest jobs in the entire game.

Warrior

To put it in simple words, Warrior is a strong job because it features some pretty good buffs for all your teammates. It is a warrior, so it also has a wide range of weapons to choose from. The mighty strike ability is its flagship that can turn even the weakest Warrior in your team into a high damage dealer for a short period. For maximum benefit, work on getting the Ragnarok relic and add it to your warrior build to see the magic.

Blue Mage

Blue mage is best known for dealing with the early stages of the endgame content where the difficulty is still understandable. You may need a lot of effort, knowledge, and time to understand how the job actually works, but it will be worth the effort. No matter which role you take, this job is compatible with it. It features a good list of spells which makes it a good damage dealer.

Corsair

Corsair is a good damage dealer, but the damage it deals isn’t enough to pick it up as your endgame job. This is where its supporting abilities kick in, and they are good enough to make you consider it for the endgame. If you are a solo player, they can be of great use to you, but you shouldn’t rely on them to deal with high-level monsters unless there is no second option.

Scholar

The scholar is a mage job in Final Fantasy XI, which can do wonders with haste and makes all the other available mage jobs in the game almost useless. They are pretty powerful but aren’t overpowered at all, so your skills will play an important role in deciding the result of the battle.  If you are dealing with white mages, consider adding a scholar to your team along with a red mage for hasting. It is also a better option for black mage lovers. Its soloing abilities are very powerful as well as work well with gear. The mythic gear of the scholar is of no use in FFXI.
