According to GalaxyClub, Google and Samsung have been working on the Tensor SoC that will power the Pixel 8 next year. However, given that Tensor previously failed to meet expectations with Qualcomm and Apple’s chips, it’s surprising that the two major corporations are still aiming to build these new chips.
However, due to the advantages of Tensor being built for Google devices, which may be more adaptable than before, this may change in the future. For example, the AI camera’s the potential to improve the Pixel 6’s features by utilizing the previous version’s Tensor chip.
Well aside from not wanting to lose, It is reported that Samsung is currently working on a successor to the Exynos 1280, a mid-range chip.
We now only know that the chip’s model number is S5P9865 and its codename is Ripcurrent. We will update the information in the future.
