iPhone 14 Pro Model Use New Ultrawide Camera

With the release of the iPhone 14 getting closer, rumours related to the information and features presented in the latest smartphone are getting more accurate. New information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will feature an Ultrawide camera sensor that can capture 1.4um pixels.

With the camera update, smartphones will increasingly be able to capture a variety of more detailed shots even when there is not enough lighting. For reference, the iPhone 13 Pro duo can only capture 1.0um pixels with their ultrawide.

The new CMOS Imaging Sensor of the iPhone 14 will be combined with a VCM Voice Coil Motor, and a compact camera module makes the components it uses 70% more expensive compared to the iPhone 13 Pro model.

Kuo believes that this model will use a CMOS sensor from Sony, Minebea and Largan using VCM, and a compact camera module supplied by LG.

Moreover, with this ultrawide module, the iPhone 14 Pro is expected to get a 48MP primary camera that uses 4-in-1 pixel binning. The use of all these modules should provide a more accurate colour image when shooting photos. As for the selfie camera, the 14 Pro model will get an update with auto focus and f/1.9 aperture.
