Blackpink and PUBG Mobile The Virtual Collab get MTV VMA Awards

“The Virtual,” a collaboration by PUBG Mobile and Blackpink, received the Best Metaverse Performance award at the MTV Video Music Awards. With more than 15,7 million global viewers, the collaboration surpasses even some of the world’s most recognizable celebrities, including Ariana Grande on Fortnite, Charli XCX on Roblox, and Justin Bieber on Wave.

The Best Metaverse Performance award was handed by the MTV Video Music Awards to Blackpink for their performance on PUBG Mobile. The sounds and visuals shown during The Virtual event were able to astound the audience.

Blackpink’s virtual performance of multiple hit songs during the in-game event managed to impress the audience. The music video produced as a result of this collaboration has received 151 million views.

The concert took Blackpink members to various PUBG Mobile maps, including islands in Erangel, Sanhok Rainforest, Miramar, Vikendi, and Livik. A film is blended with in-game elements such as airdrops, helmets, planes, and bullets to enhance the PUBG Mobile experience for the viewer.
