Apple has released a new update for a number of unsupported older phones, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, and iPod Touch gen 6.
Users who are still using the previous device will receive an upgrade with update number 12.5.6 and build number 16H71 which fixes security problems in WebKit that were exploited by some reckless people.
Apple highly advises old smartphone users to get the update, which they may do when they receive a notification. If not, go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the 275MB update.
Thankfully it seems like Apple won’t really be giving up their unsupported Older Phone and will keep giving out update if needed.
