According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, the iPhone 14 Pro was the first phone to sell. The iPhone 14 Pro is the favourite in Apple’s current smartphone lineup, accounting for more than 85% of total buyers.
The iPhone 14 Plus, on the other hand, accounts for less than 5% of overall sales, causing the mini-phone to be dropped from the prior iPhone 14 lineup. Preliminary statistics from offline pre-orders in China back up Kuo’s claims, and he himself stated that this has happened on multiple previous occasions.
However, this year’s sales appear to be more focused on the Pro model than in previous years. This could be owing to the high amount of features available as well as the distinction between the pro and non-pro variants.
Not surprising given that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max versions have received more updates than the basic iPhone 14.
