Heavily Inspired Splatoon Mobile Games Found in China
On Bilibili for mobile Android, a Chinese game inspired by Splatoon has finally been announced. The game’s developers, Luo Wei Cyberverse and Beijing River Map Games, have unveiled a playable demo as well as a gameplay teaser trailer, which can be seen below.
The game does not yet have a name, but it will be available on mobile and will feature AR and VR versions. Players may also see footage of the game’s AR version on their YouTube channel, and the game will supposedly receive 10 hero upgrades and 10 level updates in the future.
The game offers gameplay similar to Splatoon, where players must paint their team’s colour throughout the map to win the game. There are various weapons that can be used in the game, starting with machine guns, grenades, rifles, and more to be updated in the future.
The game also has various easy options intended for the mobile version, such as the option to change into a Slime or Squid in Splatoon when wanting to travel easily.
Do note that currently, Splatoon is very popular in China, so it is not surprising that China itself has created a game with similar gameplay on mobile. There is no release date for the game at this time, but we will provide updates if there is new information.
