The Kirby franchise is an Action-Platformer game made by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The game follows Kirby as he protects his home on Planet Popstar. The first Kirby game, Kirby’s Dream Land, was released in April 1992. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land is a platformer game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for Wii, featuring extra-powerful Copy Abilities called Super Abilities and powered up inhale ability. Kirby meets Elfilin, a blue rodent-like creature, who needs help saving the Waddle Dees who have been captured by the Beast Pack. Kirby offers to help, and the two set off to rescue the Waddle Dees while looking for a way to return.

The game begins with the Jamba Heart being shattered, causing its shards to fall throughout the galaxy and possess anyone they come into contact with. Kirby discovers he has the ability to create Friend Hearts and goes on a quest to stop King Dedede from stealing all the food in Dream Land.

Along the way, Kirby befriends other enemies and frees corrupted creatures, before pursuing a fleeing Jamba Heart piece and encountering a corrupted Meta Knight. In the end, Kirby and friends stop mysterious invaders by flying to a giant fortress on the surface of the planet.
