Last Monday, a major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale occurred in the Turkey and Syria region, resulting in thousands of casualties. One of the casualties of the Turkey-Syria earthquake was a professional Valorant player from Turkey, Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya, who played for the Valorant Game Charger team.

Before joining Game Charger, Luie had played with teams such as Unknownpros Femalesebe, Galakticos Sirens, and Vivace Vista. His death was a great shock and a source of grief for all Valorant players and fans.

The official Valorant Turkish account also made a condolence post for the passing of Luie, which can be seen in the tweet below:


Luie was known to live in the Kahramanmaras region of Turkey, which was one of the most affected areas in the earthquake. We extend our condolences to Luie’s family and all fans who have lost someone dear to them.
