The creators of Nier Automata, Yoko Taro and Sega, have a new mobile game called 404 Game Reset on the horizon, and information that was initially just a rumor has finally been confirmed! After Sega accidentally published a teaser trailer earlier this week, they officially announced the project on February 10th. Yoko Taro is reportedly serving as the game’s creative director with producer Gosuke Nakamura.

The game is set in a “distorted world where Sega rules supreme and controls everything,” and they are reimagining classic Sega games like Virtua Cop and After Burner as anime waifus that can be collected. The official Twitter account for 404 Game Reset also stated in one of its tweets related to the game that “The Sega Nation is trying to deceive and control people and this account was opened to reveal the ‘truth.'”

Pre-registration is now available on the App Store and Google Play, with planned rewards for the gacha system in the game. The official website is available here, and you can check out the teaser trailer for Yoko Taro’s upcoming mobile game below.
